Summary of the Giro d'Italia

Giro d'Italia is Italy's most popular racing tour and second most popular in Europe. As the Vuelta and the Tour de France, it has 21 days or three weeks of race stages. Running annually, this year the tour is starting off in Israel. The First stage starting off in Jerusalem Israel, is the first ever stage in all of the tours in the UCI that starts outside Europe. Stage 2 starts in Haifa and ends in Tel Aviv. Then the last stage in Israel The pink jersey belongs to the winner of the overall race which most recently was Tom Dumoulin. The purple jersey belongs to the sprint points winner most recently Fernando Gavrila. The Blue jersey belongs to the king of the mountains winner, most recently Mikel Landa and the White jersey goes to the best young rider most recently won by Bob Jungels. 

Summary of La Vuelta

Along with the Tour de France and the Giro d'Italia, La Vuelta is the third biggest tour of European cycling to date. Similar to the Tour de France, La Vuelta has 21 stages lasting the three weeks and was also most recently won by Chris Froome. It also is an annual competition beginning in the northeast of Spain sometimes even in the border of France. Stages 1 to 5 are an easy introduction that are mainly flat to begin with. This takes the race to the east coast of Spain into the city of Villareal. Stages 6 to 10 are similar but begin in the east and end around the southeastern coast. Stages 11 to 15 start at the southern coast and end in the southern mountainous town of Montreal. Stages 16 to 21 start in the North and finish on decent in Madrid. The race leader wears the red jersey and the points jersey is also green. The King of the Mountains jersey is white and blue polkadots.
